3 audio books for tweens
Audio books are my top tip for peaceful, screen-free car rides and our all time favourites can be found here but what to do when your kids have outgrown these?
Captivate your pre-teen with our favourite audio books for older listeners:
1. The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
Fun fact - C.S. Lewis went to Oxford University where he was friends with J.R.R. Tolkien! The Chronicles of Narnia is 1 hour and 55 minutes of utterly spellbinding storytelling.
2. War Horse by Michael Morpurgo
First published back in 1982, `War Horse' has taken the world by storm. The book was adapted to the stage and was performed at the National Theatre and on Broadway. This full and unabridged edition is beautifully performed by the National Theatre's first Albert, OIivier-award-winner Luke Treadaway. NB: with wartime themes this audio book is best suited to older readers
3. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone by J.K Rowling
Read by Stephen Fry and containing 7 CDs with a total running time of 8 hours and 25 minutes this audio book should take you all the way to your destination...and back again!
